AMALFI COAST

Positano is truly a special place to me. Maybe because I spent my 22nd birthday weekend in this beautiful coastal town, or maybe not.

But well, getting here wasn’t the most pleasant experience. So here’s a little story:
While transiting through Naples train station, I literally saw a group of 3 American women pickpocketed right in front of my eyes right when I was getting on the train in broad day-light. And in that scene, no one helped. Later I learnt that Naples is notoriously known for things like that and the only thing you could do is avoid it from happening at all. I spoke to some locals and they told me it happens everyday and once your belongings are taken, you’ll probably never get it back.

Well, all negativity aside – when I got to the town of Positano everything changed. You start hearing the sound of the vast sea and cold breeze messing up your hair but at this point, you don’t really care at all. You walk down windy one-way roads to get greeted by friendly locals and you find a quaint little restaurant for dinner, and end up eating the best seafood pasta you had. All these before you take careful steps down the steep stairs to feel the crisp sand on your feet, and you look back at how much elevation you’ve covered only to be in awe of the picture perfect scene.

Positano, you have my heart.
